The mission of the Center for
the Study of Children's Futures is to promote the health and well-being
of Florida's children and their families through data collection,
research, and community involvement. The Center is dedicated
to maintaining a repository of statistical data and policy and
program
activities, developing informative products for dissemination,
and providing technical assistance, education and consultation
services to our communities across Florida and the nation.
With an emphasis on demographic,
economic, health, education, and social indicators, the Center's
unique database of statewide and county information on children
and families serves as an exceptional resource for
students, faculty, and the citizens of Florida.
The Center's resource library includes products
on issues of special interest, as well as state, local and national
trends. Products are requested
and used by agencies and individuals for association meetings,
professional conferences,
employee training events, classroom instruction, regional and county
planning activities, and media requests.
Resources available in the library include:
Products from all 53 contributing KIDS COUNT
projects;
Reports and products from numerous research affiliates;
Lists of foundation activities;
National, state, and county government and private
agencies;
