Data
These four easy-to-use, powerful online databases allow you to generate custom reports for a geographic area (Profiles) or to compare areas on a topic (Ranking, Maps, and Line Graphs). The indicator database is designed to help users find survey questions, measures, and instruments that might contribute to their own data collection activities.
- KIDS COUNT Data Center
This system contains state- and city-level data for over 100 measures of child well-being, including all the measures regularly used in the KIDS COUNT Data Book and The Right Start for America's Newborns.
Visit Site - KIDS COUNT Census Data
This site consists of population data about age, gender, households, families, and housing units from the Census Short Form (Census SF1) and social, economic, and housing data from the Census Long Form (Census SF3). The site now includes estimates for the 108th Congressional Districts; KIDS COUNT Census Data Online is currently the only site with this information.
Visit Site - The Right-Start Data
Data from The Right Start for America's Newborns report are available. State- and city-level data on birth outcomes can be used to generate custom graphs, maps, ranked lists, and state-by-state profiles; or, download the entire data set as delimited text files.
Visit Site - National Survey Indicators Database
The database is organized in eight domains, but can be searched from a number of different entry points according to the interests of the user. Begin by searching by either a domain, indicator, or measure, and then follow the menus to view that information.
